Hair Issues Already??

Nana decided to take a photo of Jersey's beautiful hair do ~ let's just say that she is never going to wake up with nice looking hair (Ann Marie, does her hair look as bad as mine in the morning??)
And... Here is my attempt at doing a girls hair! My only question is what is the best way to get food out of long hair - because I have found that I cannot use a wash rag like I do on Scout's haed!!

She Doesn't Look Sick Does She???

Scout and I decided to bring up a table for Jersey to sit at for meals (she sits at a little one at school!) She was SO excited ~ and she sat for the entire meal!!

She ate her meal and Scout's as well!! We think she is growing because she can pack it away! After dinner, I took the kids to Toys R Us and let Scout pick out a toy for his birthday! I should have taken a clue when I arrived and had to change a very dirty diaper before ever stepping foot into the store! After about an hour of looking ~ and of Jersey being very patient Scout finally picked what he wanted! Just as we were heading to the checkout lane - Jersey "tossed her cookies" all over the cart, floor, herself and her coat! All I could do was catch all of her dinner (and Scout that she ate too!) in my hands!! And then I had to yell for someone to help me and get me some towels. Wouldn't you know that numerous parents (mothers too) just looked and never asked if I needed anything. Two workers (guys) came to help that is after the first one brought wet floor signs. Well no shit the floor is wet - my kid threw up on it!! Scout started crying saying, "I am so tired and Jersey smells ~ I just want to go home and go to sleep." All I could do was laugh! As of now both kids are sound asleep, but like any mom, I have checked on Jersey about every 15 minutes. And the worst part of all of this is that as I am writing all of this, I am eating cupcakes that I made for Scout's birthday treat! How sad that reliving this story doesn't even gross me out!

She decided to end her week by bitting a friend and then bitting Scout on Saturday. I think Scout was more upset because she wouldn't say sorry - and well....she doesn't say many words yet - just screams REALLY loud!!

Scout was SHOCKED when he got home from school only to discover that a sneaky leprachon turned our toilet green!!

Jersey was shocked too!!!

A Spring Hike!!

We were all so EXCITED to go on a hike!! Jersey was set with her sunglasses and all! Jason decided to carry Jersey so I wouldn't have all the weight!! Well that is until..

Scout informed us that his foot was hurting him (He had a blister in his foot because he decided not to wear sock!!) So Jason carried Scout the entire way while I carried Jersey!!

Now, Scout was Happy!!!

Well, after our short hike, Jason put Scout down to walk the last few steps and Scout's foot had fallen asleep from being carried the entire way - so, he wasn't very happy in this photos (we say Suck it up!!!)

Finally we are all happy (mom and dad don't have to carry anyone and Scout and Jersey are free to walk - only feet from our van) If only we knew they would have so much fun so close to the parking lot!!

Surviving the Winter

Jersey LOVES sitting in the toy box (thanks Nana!) And because Mom and Dad don't let her, she screams! I guess she will be able to get into it soon on her own! :)

Keeping Busy!!

Scout and Jersey sit together every morning to brush their teeth (well Jersey brushes her cheek and Scout brushes his teeth!) I am sure Jersey just pretends because she likes the taste of the toothpaste!

Scout's newest passion is Hockey! I took him to his first hockey game last weekend (2 students one current and one former play together on a team!) He LOVED it! So, we managed to find him a "hockey" jersey (a.k.a. polo jersey), a hockey helmet (a.k.a. a baseball helmet), a hockey stick (a garden hoe!), and a puck (well it started off as a milk cap, then we lost that; second was an athletic tape roll, that got lost too, and now he is hitting around a small bowl!) Now I have been warned that playing hockey can get VERY expensive. So, I figure if we set his standards LOW, he won't expect much for equipment! Scout told me now all he needs is some pads (which I am sure we could get a hold of some of old beach towels to wrap him in!! And who said Hockey was expensive???


He is SOOO Proud of how good he plays!!
